Ana's Story

Ana has always been passionate about 2D animation. With a love for storytelling, a creative vision, and a dream of building a career in the animation industry, she was ready to take the next step. She just needed the right support to help bring her goals to life.

Through CanAssist’s Job Journey program, Ana received personalized employment support focused on her goals. Working alongside her Participant Experience Facilitator, she built confidence, strengthened her job search skills, prepared for interviews, and developed a professional portfolio that showcased her talent and unique creative voice.

With encouragement and guidance along the way, Ana began to see what was possible. She created and launched her first online animation portfolio, an important milestone that helped her share her work and take ownership of her career journey.

Today, Ana is exploring internship opportunities in 2D animation, continuing to grow her skills, and building toward the career she has envisioned. Through Job Journey, she gained more than employment skills. She gained confidence, practical tools, and the support needed to pursue meaningful opportunities in the animation industry.

For Ana, the support she received through Job Journey helped remove barriers and opened the door to new possibilities. With the skills, experience, and confidence she gained, she is continuing to build her portfolio and take steps toward her dream of creating her own animation projects.
