Toileting without barriers: Practical strategies for every child
Toileting shouldn't be a barrier to inclusion. Join CanAssist at the University of Victoria for a practical, evidence-informed session that helps educators, parents, and caregivers confidently support every child's toileting journey.
The webinar introduces practical toileting resources developed with occupational therapists and informed by more than 300 child care providers, including the Toilet Learning Position Statement, Toileting Resource Evaluation Tool, and the CanAssist Toilet Step Stool, now used in over 1,000 BC child care programs.
You'll learn how to:
- Apply inclusive toileting practices in your program
- Evaluate and strengthen your current resources
- Have supportive conversations with families about toileting
Participants will also be introduced to the Foundations of Inclusive Child Care Training, a free, self-paced online course that provides 12 hours of professional development and supports educators in creating more inclusive child care programs.
Leave with tools and strategies you can use right away to support inclusion in your setting.
