Pronouns: he/him

Email: canaelecintern@uvic.ca

Kaden is a fourth-year electrical engineering student at the University of Victoria. As an electrical design technician co-op Student Kaden designs and tests electrical and firmware systems, ensuring functionality and reliability in a variety of projects. In particular Kaden is excited about creating printed circuit boards and other hardware solutions. He is passionate about inclusive technologies that empower individuals with disabilities.

His interest in this space began when he worked on a project designing switch accessible scissors that improved accessibility in daily life for people that have troubles with using traditional scissors. Seeing the direct impact of these devices on users’ independence solidified my commitment to leveraging technology for positive change.

Outside of work, he enjoys working on his cars and using them to explore Vancouver Island.

He believes that technology should serve as a bridge, not a barrier and he strives to create solutions that are not only functional but also meaningful to those who use them.

I acknowledge with respect that I am a guest on the traditional territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən peoples, known today as the Songhees, Esquimalt Nations, and W̱SÁNEĆ Nations. I deeply appreciate the opportunity to live, learn, and work in this beautiful region
