I am a Malian-Canadian, I hold a BA in Child and Youth Care with a Child Protection Specialization. I am passionate about working in the disability field because I believe in empowering individuals to reach their full potential. My experience as a youth worker and program coordinator has taught me the importance and power of inclusivity and tailored support. Seeing the impact of tailored support has fueled my desire to work in the disability field, where I can leverage my skills to promote inclusion and help individuals achieve their potential. My background equips me to not only develop effective programs but also to foster a community that embraces diversity and encourages growth for all. Additionally, I have acquired valuable insights into the challenges young people with disabilities face in seeking employment. Being a part of the Job Journey team at CanAssist helps me do my part in addressing that gap. I am eager to contribute to CanAssist’s mission, using my experience in program development and community engagement to create impactful opportunities for those seeking to enhance their skills and independence. I, truly believe in the potential of every individual, and I am passionate about helping them succeed.

Fun fact about me is that I love to travel, meet new people, learn new cultures and try new foods.

I acknowledge, and respect the ancestral, traditional and unceded territories of the Lkwungen people (Songhees and Esquimalt) where I have had the priviledge to live and work for the past decade.
