Katie is a recent addition to the Job Journey team and has over 17 years of experience in child development, social services, and community practice. In 2015 she completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Youth Care, and in 2023 she completed her Trades Skills Foundation certificate. She has been very fortunate to gain diverse experience in areas including behavior intervention, recreation programming, child development, youth sports coaching, and mental health & addictions support. She is particularly excited to help participants develop self-advocacy skills, to inspire confidence and autonomy, and to foster capacity-building. Outside of work Katie likes to play sports with her friends, create art, practice several instruments, and develop her creative writing skills.
