Nick is a dad and web designer who is passionate about accessibility and inclusion. His path to this role has been anything but direct, having spent years in the service industry, and working odd jobs ranging from government to physical labour, until starting a career building brands and websites, over a decade ago.
Since then, Nick has worked with household brand names, digital agencies, and start-ups. The projects that stood out the most were always the ones that were for a good cause. That's what led him to seek a position where he knew he was helping people every day.
At CanAssist, Nick was welcomed by a quality of culture, mentorship, and empathy that surpassed anywhere prior. That's what fuels his accessible-first approach, which aims to create delightful web products that offer an uncompromised experience for people with disabilities.
Nick enjoys spending time with his daughter and spouse, in the forest, at the beach, or on a patio. His style icon is Cher.
I live and work on the land of the lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ People; my hosts and neighbours to whom I am grateful for allowing me as a guest.
