Evan Williams is an Employer Engagement Specialist with CanAssist’s Job Journey program at the University of Victoria. He works closely with employers to create meaningful opportunities for participants living with disabilities, while supporting workplaces on accessibility, accommodations, and inclusive hiring practices.
He is a graduate of the Community and Justice Services program at Fleming College and has worked with various nonprofits in Ontario and British Columbia. One of Evan’s most recent projects involved piloting an Indigenous housing rental supplement program and a culturally aligned justice services program in Victoria.
Evan enjoys creating art, playing basketball, and caring for his cats. He draws inspiration from his younger sister, who lives with special needs.
I want to recognize with gratitude that I live and work on the traditional territories of the Lək̓ʷəŋən Peoples, known today as the Songhees and Esquimalt Nations. I also acknowledge the Lək̓ʷəŋən and W̱SÁNEĆ Peoples, whose deep and ongoing relationships with this land continue to guide and shape this place.
