Eva is currently a fourth-year Political Science and Sociology student at the University of Victoria, joining CanAssist as an Outreach Assistant Co-op. She is enthusiastic to contribute her knowledge to CanAssist projects and initiatives that support inclusion and accessibility.
Eva is interested in the intersectionality of politics and disability, particularly how socio-economic factors intersect with disability and impact policies and legislation focused on reducing barriers for individuals with disabilities. She is very passionate about supporting community-centered initiatives that build more diverse, equitable, and inclusive spaces.
Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, baking sweet treats, and doing arts and crafts.
I immigrated from Aotearoa (i.e., New Zealand) where I was previously raised in Waitati, on the traditional lands of the Ngau Tahu and Otepoti iwi. I appreciate being a guest and able to live, learn, and work on the ancestral territory of the Coast Salish peoples, who have ongoing and deeply entrenched relationships with the land and waterways since time immemorial.
