As a Participant Experience Facilitator at CanAssist, Aleah supports individuals in exploring meaningful employment opportunities while building confidence and practical interpersonal skills. She brings experience working with diverse communities, including individuals with disabilities, those impacted by substance use, and older adults with dementia. Aleah has also supported youth with disabilities, helping create environments that encourage growth, learning, and a sense of belonging.

Aleah earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Vancouver Island University, where her undergraduate thesis focused on neurodivergent relationships. Her academic background, paired with her hands-on experience, shapes a thoughtful and inclusive approach to her work. She is particularly passionate about advocating for individuals with disabilities and strives to promote accessibility and respect in all the spaces she works in.

Aleah approaches her work with empathy and a focus on each person’s strengths, aiming to meet individuals where they are and support them in moving toward their goals. She values collaboration and is intentional about creating supportive, welcoming environments where people feel comfortable and understood. At the core of her work is a commitment to helping individuals build confidence and meaningful connections.
