Vikes Recreation at the University of Victoria is offering two exciting activities as part of its inclusive programming offerings for Winter 2018. These registered activities are for people of all abilities, so everyone can participate and enjoy active living and recreation.

Adapted Strength and Conditioning is a weight-room program designed specifically for people with mobility limitations. This program will focus on mobility, functionality and stability, while taking into account sport or fitness needs. Register online for the Adapted Strength and Conditioning class or visit the CARSA Membership Services Desk.

  • Saturdays, 11:30 a.m.- 12:45 p.m., Jan. 27 to Mar. 24, 2018 (no class Feb. 10), $139

“I Like to Move It” is an all-abilities dance class for those who like to “move it, move it.” No matter what your experience or ability, explore the joy of movement in a supportive environment. This partnership program with The Embrace Arts Foundation, an organization devoted to providing arts and recreation programming for individuals of all abilities, is facilitated by Tiffany Tjosvold, BEd and DanceAbility certified instructor. Thanks to a generous donor, this program is offered at the sponsored rate of only $10 for 10 sessions! Please register online or in person at the CARSA Membership Services Desk.

  • Wednesdays, 7:00 - 7:55 p.m., Jan. 17 to Mar. 28, 2018 (no class Feb. 14), $10 for all 10 sessions
