Natalie graduated from Brock University with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Child and Youth Studies. She then worked as a Residential Counsellor for children with autism living in care for two years, and this is where her passion for working with individuals with disability and/or mental health challenges blossomed. Natalie then pursued a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Early Childhood Studies at Ryerson University with an acute focus on autism, and during this time was exposed to the concept of disability as a social construct. Natalie also worked as an Instructor Therapist for children with autism at a learning centre before starting her current position as a Job Coach with TeenWork. She is excited to be part of the new TeenWork project among an amazing team of people with a common goal of helping youth overcome barriers to finding meaningful part-time paid employment.
